In Year 5 we have come to the final stage of our first Unit of Inquiry, The passing of time, with a great little adventure: A day in history. We went to the school forest and we built our prehistoric tribe huts, we picked wood for a fire and we even cooked our own food!
After lunch, some artistic workshops; cave painting and cuneiform Mesopotamian writing onto clay tablets.
We had gorgeous weather and loads of fun, putting into practice all our knowledge about how the first humans lived and how they communicated. No computers, no comforts…just nature. We would have stayed there longer, woudn’t we?
